If you are interested in learning or expanding your knowledge of hand embroidery you will love this year long project. Each month you will work on one of the A Cottage Year pattern by Kathy Schmitz. All 12 patterns are all in one packet; each pattern has a little cottage painting on the reverse side suitable for framing! This group will trade ideas shortcuts and suggestions on how to complete the seasonal cottage for the next month. The Dec cottage has a wreath above the door-I will do my cottages in black Sulky thread which I love to use for hand embroidery, and not have any embellishments; someone else may decide to finish their wreath with tiny buttons and green embroidery floss.  Following the finishing instructions the quilt is 48"x 63". Kathy is supplying extra cottage projects just for us.  Each month the new cottage will be started during the meeting and any questions, stitch problems, etc can be discussed. $5 per month plus a one time purchase of pattern package.
